• The key to achieving oneness and harmony in marriage is accepting God's purposes for our lives.
  
  
• When we begin to involve God in the relationship and obey God's Word, when we begin to put our spouse's interests above our own and begin to reflect the image of God more in our life, we can begin to replace isolation with companionship.
  
  
• We need to receive our spouse as God's perfect provision for our needs - his strengths and weaknesses. We can trust our loving God and accept one another as God's gift.
  
  
• Building our marriage involves a process of leaving parents, uniting with each other and becoming one.
  
  
• God wants husbands and wives to assume biblical responsibilities within their marraige.
  
  
• We need to live by faith in the power of the Holy Spirit. We just cannot do it in our own strength.
  
  
• Building a God-honoring legacy requires that we determine together to influence our world and afuture generations for Christ.
